Meetings and Social Events



Most months, August through May, our VP of Programs, will host an event or meeting for all Alliance members. These range from fun Lunch and Learns, our yearly brunch and fashion show at Neiman Marcus to date nights with our favorite doctors at TX Whiskey Ranch, providing for babies basic needs at our Shower of Love or our yearly fundraising Gala - The Medicine Ball. Each May we come together to recognize outstanding volunteers, install our new President and board and to honor our 50 year members at the Mary Helen Ware Star Awards Luncheon.


Invitations are sent by Punchbowl and printed invitations in the mail. A complete list can be found in your Member Handbook and Directory. Reservations are made through Punchbowl. Payments accepted by check mailed to the Alliance offices or by Venmo.



Building Community with Special Interest Groups and SLACK



In addition to these events, we have a variety of special interest groups for members to participate in together. We are always happy to create a new group with enough interest and a leader. Check out our Special Interest Groups on their own page under our Events tab.


Join us on Slack, a private chat app, to interact with Alliance members for timely updates on upcoming events and Pop Ups - spur of the moment Friends Night Out to the movies or dinner and other fun social outings around town. Celebrate the Annual Physician Family Day with your family and the Family of Medicine. Bring your family and celebrate with snacks, beverages and a lifeguard provided.

Kick off Fall with a mid-week date night with your physician spouse courtesy of the TCMS Alliance. Meet at TX Whiskey Ranch and check in with our Alliance Programs VP for your complimentary admission which includes a cocktail or mocktail. Enjoy the live music, beautiful grounds and Alliance friends. Additional beverages and food from food trucks available for purchase.

Warm Mugs for Warm Hugs

Please join your fellow Alliance members for a come-and-go coffee and light breakfast as we collect our Warm Hugs zippered hoodies for The Center for Transforming Lives. Family Halloween

The whole family invited to a Sweet & Spooky Halloween Party. Create a Spooky craft, get your face painted, and make friends with other Medical Families in the community. Light snacks available. Costumes encouraged.

The Medicine Ball
Annual Gala Fundraiser

The one and only fundraiser for the TCMSA Foundation's Community Health Projects. The Medicine Ball celebrates the Family of Medicine and our Physicians in Tarrant County. Bringing together physicians, spouses, medical students, residents, medical admin and many who support the practice of medicine in Tarrant County, it's a one of a kind event.

Festival of Colors
Family Event

This fun tradition marks the end of winter and honors the triumph of good over evil showering one another with colored powders, sharing sweet treats.

Luncheon and Service Project

Shower of Love provides newborn baby gear, clothing, diapers and wipes to mothers in the newborn nursery at JPS Health.

We recognize the Alliance members whose legacy of 50 years of continuous membership laid the foundation of service that we are the beneficiaries of today. We round out our celebration by thanking our President and board members and install the leaders for the new year.
