Who We Are

We are a social, philanthropic, education and advocacy membership organization that includes female and male spouses and partners of physicians and medical students as well as physicians and medical students. We are friends, colleagues and volunteers who share the unique lifestyle of being in medical families. We are the family of medicine.

Mission

To enhance the lives and health of Texans through cooperative programming with the Tarrant County Medical Society

    We’re excited to invite you to WellRounds, a new virtual learning series created by Sarah Grimmer, PhD, designed especially for physician families.

    Drawing on her original research and personal experience as a physician spouse, Dr. Grimmer explores how the stress and burnout often seen in medical professionals can impact the entire family system. Through this course, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the signs of burnout—not just in physicians, but in partners and children—and learn practical, evidence-based strategies to foster resilience, protect emotional wellbeing, and reconnect as a family.

    The WellRounds series includes:

    • Short, self-paced video lessons
    • A downloadable discussion guide and reflection worksheet for each module
    • Optional virtual discussion groups (daytime and evening sessions available)
    • Online forum in the members only website
    • Tools to help families navigate the challenges of living in medicine with more connection and clarity

    Registration is required to access the course materials and join a discussion group. Participation is open to anyone in a physician family—whether you’re married to a medical student, resident, attending, or retired physician.   When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with links to the materials and discussion group registration.  

    You do not have to be a member of TCMS Alliance to register.  If you are not a member, kindly include your state and zip code in your registration form.

    We hope you’ll join us in this meaningful and timely conversation about what it means to live well in a physician family.

    Hey guys – Calling all men in our Family of Medicine!

    Men Married to Medicine is a monthly hangout for men with a physician spouse and for male physicians. It’s a chance to connect, relax, and share life with others who get the unique joys and challenges of medicine.

    We meet every 4th Thursday of the month, except November and December – keep an eye out for updates on those holiday months!

    These are super casual meet-ups – come as you are, no pressure. Feel free to bring a buddy from the medical community too.

    Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance invites you to kick off fall with a mid-week date night with your spouse/partner or please come solo, courtesy of the TCMS Alliance. Enjoy live music, beautiful grounds and Alliance friends. Additional beverages and food available for purchase.

    You may also bring your donations for our Warm Hugs Project.  Donate new zippered hooded sweatshirts in size newborn through 5T for the children served by the Center for Transforming Lives Child Development Centers.  

    5:45pm - 8:00pm

    Check-in at guest services for your complimentary admission beginning at 5:45pm. Meet us inside the main building.

    Complimentary Admission & Cocktail or Mocktail with Reservation compliments of the Alliance.  Reservation required.  Please update your reservation if your plans change so we don't prepay for anyone who is not attending.
