We’re excited to invite you to the third module of WellRounds, a new virtual learning series created by Sarah Grimmer, PhD, designed especially for physician families.

    Module 6: The Invisible Load

Managing the Mental and Emotional Labor

    Virtual Discussion Groups

    Tuesday March 10, 2026 12:00pm

    Tuesday March 10, 2026  8:00pm

Drawing on her original research and personal experience as a physician spouse, Dr. Grimmer explores how the stress and burnout often seen in medical professionals can impact the entire family system. Through this course, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the signs of burnout—not just in physicians, but in partners and children—and learn practical, evidence-based strategies to foster resilience, protect emotional wellbeing, and reconnect as a family.

    The WellRounds series includes:

    • Short, self-paced video lessons
    • A downloadable discussion guide and reflection worksheet for each module
    • Optional virtual discussion groups (daytime and evening sessions available)
    • Online forum in the members only website
    • Tools to help families navigate the challenges of living in medicine with more connection and clarity

Registration is required to access the course materials and join a discussion group. Participation is open to anyone in a physician family—whether you’re married to a medical student, resident, attending, or retired physician.   When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with links to the materials and discussion group registration.  You will need to register for a discussion group.

You do not have to be a member of TCMS Alliance to register.  If you are not a member, kindly include your state and zip code in your registration form.

We hope you’ll join us in this meaningful and timely conversation about what it means to live well in a physician family.
