We are the Family of Medicine

Who We Are

We are a social, philanthropic, education and advocacy membership organization that includes female and male spouses and partners of physicians and medical students as well as physicians and medical students. We are friends, colleagues and volunteers who share the unique lifestyle of being in medical families. We are the family of medicine.

Mission

To enhance the lives and health of Texans through cooperative programming with the Tarrant County Medical Society

To provide opportunities for member growth and development

To assist in developing friendly relations and mutual understanding among physicians, their families and the general public

    Your family is invited to celebrate Physician Family Day with the Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance at an afternoon Pool Party at the home of Anthony DeFelice and Dr. Mo Rezaie.

    Our Membership team is providing a lifeguard, snacks and beverages.

    Wear your swimsuits and bring your towels and sunscreen.

    Street parking on one side of the street per Mira Vista HOA rules.

    Open to all medical families, including students in medical school and residency/fellowship training, and physicians.

    Reservations requested by August 23rd. Reservations required to be included in the guest list for entry to Mira Vista.  For questions or to bring a potential new family, contact Sarah Gates, sarahryangates@gmail.com.

    Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance and Tarrant County Medical Society invite you to kick off fall with a mid-week date night with your spouse/partner or please come solo, courtesy of the TCMS Alliance and TCMS. Enjoy live music, beautiful grounds and family of medicine friends.  Additional beverages and food available for purchase.

    5:45pm - 8:00pm

    Check-in at guest services for your complimentary admission beginning at 5:45pm. Meet us inside the main building.

    Complimentary Admission, Cocktail or Mocktail and food with Reservation compliments of the Alliance and Medical Society.  Reservation required.  Please update your reservation if your plans change so we don't prepay for anyone who is not attending.

    • Amon Carter Museum of American Art

    Hometown Explorers will be going to the Amon Carter Museum to enjoy a docent-led tour of two exhibits on Friday, September 11th at 10 AM.

    Click through for details on Here Lyeth: Grave Rubbings by Ann Parker and Avon Neal which features original rubbings of American gravestones that highlight this artistic tradition.

    Georgia O’Keefe and the Carter that showcase the artist’s paintings, as well as photographs and letters that demonstrate her personal and professional ties to the museum.

    We will arrange for lunch afterwards, Dutch treat. Details to follow.
