Who We Are

Begun in 1920 as the Tarrant County Medical Society Auxiliary and now known as the Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance (TCMSA), we are a social, philanthropic, education and advocacy membership organization that includes female and male spouses and partners of physicians, residents, fellows and medical students as well as physicians. We are friends, colleagues and volunteers who share the unique lifestyle of being in medical families. We are the Family of Medicine.

What is a Medical Alliance?

A Medical Alliance is a volunteer-driven organization made up of physician families, typically led by the spouses or partners of physicians. It exists to support the unique needs of medical families and to strengthen the connection between the medical profession and the communities it serves.

Being part of a Medical Alliance means belonging to a network of individuals who truly understand the demands, sacrifices, and lifestyle that come with a career in medicine. Members offer mutual support, friendship, and shared resources to help navigate everything from medical training to family life.

Beyond supporting each other, Medical Alliances serve the broader community. Through outreach programs, educational initiatives, and health-related service projects, we work to promote wellness and improve health outcomes. Additionally, we advocate for responsible healthcare policies that protect the practice of medicine and enhance public health.

Whether you’re organizing a health fair, supporting local clinics, or advocating for legislation that benefits patients and providers, being part of a Medical Alliance means making a meaningful impact—together.
